Hiring an Architect to design a new house or renovation is a smart decision in terms of aesthetic outcome.  Your Architect can help coordinate material selections, spatial arrangements, etc., but it is often the little details that an Architect brings to the design that make such an impact.  Case in point – the width of tile grout joints.

To achieve a clean, modern look Architects often design thin grout joints that virtually disappear making an ever-more integrated appearance.  I recently visited a house where the owners worked with a contractor to have new porcelain tile installed – and in the absence of Designer-input the contractor used joints even wider than 1/4″!  Yikes!  What a difference thinner joints would have made.  Eckxstudio has extensive experience with tile & grout – we specify the best system to make your project successful.
